Tina Sheldon, co-founder and CEO of Pointer Wolf Productions, is an entrepreneur who has built a successful career by continually moving the pendulum forward.
Tina has over 20 years experience working for and advising national and international companies as well as prominent investment banking corporations on strategic planning and corporate communications. She developed and implemented public relations and crisis communication programs for corporations, nonprofit organizations and high profile athletes.
Tina began her career in television sales at CFCF Television in Montreal and progressed at a fast pace. As Vice President of Marketing & Communications for BMO Nesbitt Burns, Tina directed and created all public relations policies, multimedia corporate advertising campaigns, and international post-merger branding initiatives, including the cross border Harris Bank integration. Developing a niche for implementing sector specific institutional conferences worldwide, Tina created a forum for institutional and corporate investors to network with the corporate banking divisions at Nesbitt Burns. Negotiating deals with Starter Canada, Harley Davidson, Mazda, and numerous retail divisions, Tina saw an opportunity to manage and partner up NHL athletes and coaches (Pat Burns) with select corporations that best suited their combined personal interests.
After spending years on various commercial and feature film sets, Tina decided to amalgamate her investment banking skills with her marketing expertise and ascend to her passion for producing films.
Whether it be working with CEO’s, investors, athletes, actors and everyone behind the scenes on-set, Tina has a reputation for treating everyone with respect, integrity while always maintaining a sense of humour.
Tina firmly believes in inspiring and creating opportunities for women to succeed and is forever grateful for her life lessons that she learned from her greatest mentor, her dad.
Carson MacCormac is the co-founder of Pointer Wolf Productions and is an accomplished actor, producer and writer.
Carson MacCormac is an actor, producer and writer who has been performing since the age of eight. Carson’s career began with lead roles in musical theater productions before transitioning to acting for camera, focusing on film and television projects, and training under prestigious acting coaches such as director Brian K. Roberts, Dean Armstrong, Andrew Magarian, and notable director Gil Junger.
Carson’s feature credits include supporting roles in the DC Comics superhero movie Shazam!, the indie feature Giant Little Ones, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, and opposite Madison Iseman in Riot Girls. Also, notably, Carson’s first professional performance was playing the lead in the short film Cold Hands, based on a true story about sexual assault directed by Eric Bizzarri. Cold Hands has gone on to earn the status of official selection at several film festivals and is now streaming on Revry.tv. Most recently Carson wrapped the lead role in the gritty independent drama East of Middle West by director Brian Lucke Anderson. Carson also recently completed producing and starring in his first short film Thinly Veiled and continues to have other active projects in various stages of development.
Notable television credits include Carson’s starring role in Big Top Academy for Pop TV which is in association with the world renowned Cirque du Soleil; opposite Anna Paquin in Bellevue for CBC; in a supporting lead in Lifetime’s TV movie Zombie at 17; and most recently recurring roles on the Netflix series October Faction, and LOCKE & KEY, also for Netflix.
Carson is also a Grade 8 Royal Conservatory Vocal graduate and has won numerous #1 placements in provincial competitions. He is a singer/songwriter and won first place at the 2018 Ontario Vocal Artists Festival. Carson plays guitar and song writes during his down time. An avid athlete, Carson played competitive baseball, retiring at the Major Elite rep level. The discipline and collaboration required for the sport is something that he has carried with him into his work as a performer.
Carson is also a ski instructor, golfer, work out enthusiast and rabid basketball fan. Extremely competitive, Carson loves playing video games and basketball with his younger brother, Braeden. Carson splits his time between Toronto and Los Angeles.
Laureline Marsal is one of the founding producers of Pointer Wolf Productions. She obtained her Masters degree in English and Film Studies at the University Le Mirail, France. A self-starter and fascinated by North American movies, she then moved to Toronto to pursue her career in the film industry. Now with over 10 years of experience working with a variety of professionals, including a top-tier Talent Agency (OAZ) and an international content producer and developer, (KEW Media) Laureline brings a plethora of expertise from both sides of the film industry.
Laureline excels at working with international A-list talent, and has an innate eye for discovering talent. She has built strong relationships with top talent managers and casting directors throughout North America. Laureline has the ability to multi-task and work with tight timelines while managing an array of on set personalities with a sense of humour and tranquility.
Fluent in Spanish, English and French, Laureline brings her years of living in various countries around the world to all her projects. She credits her parents with instilling a sense of adventure and a love of movies to inspiring her to discover meaningful stories to bring to the screen. Traveling and Olympic Weightlifting are hobbies that keep her grounded and focused while working on producing her next feature film.
Kai Swanson is a screenwriter, director, and creative producer. Kai has worked and presented her films internationally at festivals and galleries such as The Buenos Aires International Film Festival, the LA UP Gallery, The LA Underground Film Forum, and TIFF. Her web series #millcore premiered on Amazon Prime in January 2020. Having focused most of her previous moving image work on the ways in which people’s emotions are experienced, Kai is drawn to writing and developing stories to screen that shed light on topics that have long been hidden.
Using her experiences growing up in the rural, Southern United States and having lived in several states and countries, Kai is instrumental in adding authenticity and unique voices to characters. Kai’s technical expertise, as well as her formidable writing skills catapult films to another level. Equal opportunity and breaking down barriers is what drives Kai to discover and develop innovative material.
When not writing or producing, Kai enjoys traveling, rollerblading, and playing with antique film and photographic equipment.
